Strawberry Cream Cheese Danishes
I made this in less than 20 minutes, this sweet treat made with puff pastry, cream cheese, strawberry jam and fresh strawberries comes together so quick! And the best part is you can get all the ingredients easily online to help you make a quick Valentine's Day treat at home.
The recipe is has been doing the rounds, here is my version.

A flaky, golden brown, sweet treat perfect for breakfast or even tea.
Puff Pastry
I used store bought and prefer using the square shaped ones. You can use a cookie cutter and cut out hearts to really make them extra special.
Make sure the dough is room temperature before working with.
Keep the pastry sheets covered with a damp cloth so they don't dry out while you're prepping the other ingredients.

Cream Cheese
My go-to cream cheese brand is D'lecta
Make sure it's room temperature as well, much easier to mix and work with.

Jam
Use whatever jam you've got laying around. I used a regular strawberry jam, you could add a variation and use any fruit jam.
Strawberries
Wash and slice them into medium size slices. You could try this recipe with any berries or other fruit!
What you need: (makes 4 danish squares)
Puff pastry squares
100g cream cheese
1 table spoon of strawberry jam
5 strawberries
1 egg/milk for brushing the sides of the pastry
How to:
Preheat oven (I use my OTG to 180 degrees)
Slice strawberries
Mix cream cheese and jam together
Using a knife score a border around the square sheet of puff pastry to create a well for the filling
Add a table spoon of filling into the centre and spread it around making sure to stay within the borders
Top with strawberry slices and brush the sides of the pastry with the egg wash or milk
Place on parchment/baking paper, I used foil just because that's what I had
Bake till sides are golden brown (keep an eye out, these cook fast) took about 10 minutes.

Enjoy! Happy Valentine's Day!
